Brooklyn, Ny--With the racial injustice and backlash that is running rampant throughout the country, and wanting to work in conjunction with the #BlackLivesMatter Movement, as well as being inspired by the #Missing24 and the #BuyTheBlock Movements/cyber initiatives, author/activist Kevin Alberto Sabio implores an economic call to action. Let us tackle these issues on an economic front, as you are all respectfully requested to PLEASE spend your money...not with these mega corporations and big box stores...but with supporting Black-owned businesses and Black/Brown entrepreneurs. Let us use our pocketbooks and wallets to politically speak for us, as you can get involved in the movement by supporting it economically. If you're not the type to march in the streets, then let your dollars do the talking for you.
Author/activist Kevin Alberto Sabio embraces this call to action, and wants to include his own works into this initiative. His works of fiction and nonfiction speaks along these ideological lines, and speaks truth to power about the capabilities of our community once we put our collective minds to a particular purpose. Let us stand up against injustice, hatred, and intolerance. Let us choose NOT to financially support this system that oppresses us.
