I know, I know......I've reeeeeeeeeally been slacking on here. Being back at my day job takes up a lot of my time, not to mention, working on a few of my literary w.i.p.'s. Not to mention, it's been hooooooooot lately, and that saps a lot of your energy. I know, I need to get back on the ball with this blog, and keep it up to date...
Any whoo...my literary progress. I actually sold a book!!! I had a download last month (June) via Scribd, and had an actual book purchase!! I want to send a SUPER SHOUT OUT to DeMoir Books & Things based in Memphis, TN. They now have a copy of Knuckle Up on their book shelves!!! If I have any fans in Memphis, PLEASE come out to the store, and buy a copy of the book!! I hope that they plan to stock more of my titles in their store!!! Memphis, stand up!!! :-D
Still writing my manuscripts. Second Chance Points is going well. I'm still in the editing phase of the project. If things keep going this well, I might actually be able to publish it next year!! Shocking...well, shocking, but not shocking. This is me we're talking about, after all, lol, lol, lol, lol. ;-)
Both Black Fist books are on hold, for now. I don't want to say that I have writer's block, but 2CP is taking up a lot of my mental power, right now. That particular project is dominating my thoughts, at the moment. I'm a little pissed about that, cause Book III is about 80%-85% done; I just need to finish off that last storyline chapter. The book's ending is already written, I just have to close out that preceding chapter. Ugh...the mind of a writer. Aaaaaarrrrgggghhh!!!
Now to my future plans. Since I can't repatriate to Africa at this point, I'm planning on moving out of state. The plan is for me to move to Raleigh, NC. I'm totally sick of Delaware. Don't get me wrong, I was able to accomplish a lot here, but I feel stuck in place, and unable to progress. I was able to get back on my feet, and put some money in my pocket, but now I need a little bit more outta my life. I'm planning on getting out of here by the fall; targeting mid September, to October. Since my day job manages an account there, I should be able to easily transfer out. Everything is still in the research & planning stages for right now; I even asked my special on again-off again lady-friend if she wants to come. I'm outta here, regardless of her answer.
Other than that, you kn ow me...always on my literary grind. Still writing, still networking, still researching. Always looking for different ways to promote my works. Fuck it...if I don't promote my own shit, who will?!?! :-O
That's the latest, for now. Going to try to be more consistent with posting content here. As it is, I'm going on the 10 year anniversary of the existence of this blog of mine. I started it, shortly before the publication of my second book, "Raise Your Brown Black Fist 2; MORE Political Shouts of an Angry Afro Latino" (Outskirts Press, 2011). Might make a post about it in the coming months, hopefully after my relocation. I'll keep you guys up to date on everything.
Keep the fist raised.

Hey man, when you're ready to move to Africa. Let me know. I have friends out there in Senegal and one who really knows South Africa since she lived there.
ReplyDeleteStay true to yourself as always and keep on pushing!
Thank you, sister!!! Senegal is actually one of my alternative choices to repatriate to. I was targeting Gambia, Uganda, and Tanzania. Because of COVID, that put a bit of a crimp in my plans. Maybe in another year, or so. Thanks!! :-)
